Our new homes are left 'looking like a war zone'

RESIDENTS on a new-build estate say it resembles a “war zone” after being left incomplete for more than a year.

Construction was due to end last summer but roads and pavements are unfinished while some home owners have reported drainage issues.

Others say Hollington Grange in Stoke-on-Trent where properties cost around £300,000 feels dangerous at night due to poor street lighting.

They are desperate for developer Keepmoat to finish the job.

Mum-of-one Najaah, 31, said: “It’s been one year since I moved in and nothing much at all has changed. When I moved in it was pretty much a building site. It’s still a building site now.”
