of energy to Thelin’s Dons
July 30, 2025
|Scottish Daily Express
JIMMY THELIN is delighted to have Sivert Nilsen back in an Aberdeen jersey to power up his midfield.
The Norwegian made his long overdue return in Friday's final preseason clash with Ipswich Town.
Nilsen had been out since March since he suffered a freak eye injury in training that even left doubt over his playing career.
The 33-year-old has battled back and Thelin insists his influence will be important for the Dons, as they kickoff the new Premiership campaign on Monday evening at Hearts.
The Pittodrie boss said: “He's been out for a long, long time now and it was good to see his energy again.
“He's always energetic when he’s playing and he gets some minutes. It was important for him and he also had a good game considering how long he'd been out.”
