No need for PM to sling Singapore £70m when food prices are rising

WE hear that the inflation rate has risen again and food prices are still rising, yet the UK Government is giving the government of Singapore £70million for climate projects (“Fury as UK hands over £70m to one of the world’s richest countries”, Daily Express Online, July 16). Why?

Singapore has low emissions, it’s a rich country, a far better economy than the UK. Who gives the green light for this expenditure when the Chancellor is struggling to balance the books and reduce inflation?
