Jeremiah revels in role as skipper on Pars' big day as youngster declares gaffer will keep foot to floor

- DARREN JOHNSTONE

JEREMIAH CHILOKOA-MULLEN loved humbling Hibs on an electrifying day for the East End Park masses.

But the stand-in Dunfermline skipper insists there is no chance he'll become boastful with Neil Lennon breathing down his neck.

The Pars boss Lennon is a big fan of the 21-year-old centre-back, even handing him the armband on Saturday with Kyle Benedictus and Chris Hamilton on the bench.

The Scotland Under-21 stalwart rose to the occasion with a near flawless display in sending David Gray's Premiership outfit back across the Forth with their tail between their legs.

And the former Leeds trainee reckons his career will continue to progress with Lenny making sure he is on the ball.

Chilokoa-Mullen, whose team clinched victory in injury time with a freak own goal from Miguel Chaiwa, said: "I'm just trying to enjoy my football and I try my best each game.

"It's good working under the manager, he's been good with me since I first came in.

"He doesn't put too much pressure on you but if you don't do your job, he'll let you know, which is what you need.

"But it's not just me - he's good with everyone, especially as a defender. When you're at the back, any little thing you do could lead to the other team scoring.

Having read his explosive Insta post I felt something weird about Brooklyn... pity

I ALWAYS had Brooklyn Beckham down as a thick, spoiled, entitled nepo baby — the kind of young man who, thank God, was born into huge wealth and privilege, because it was clear he wasn’t equipped to make his own way in the world.
