- BY ALISON McCONNELL

GRANT Scott kicked off his reign as Celtic boss by guiding the Hoops to a 3-2 win over former club Hibs as they booked a spot in the Scottish Cup quarterfinals.

Goals by Emma Lawton and Morgan Cross had the visitors 2-0 ahead by halftime at Meadowbank.

Hibs came out after the interval with all guns blazing and goals by Tiree Burchill and Eilidh Adams had them level within just five minutes of the restart.

However, Marie McAneny restored Celtic's advantage two minutes later and they stood firm for the rest of the match to go into tonight's draw.

Scott said: “It was a really important win. I said to the players it was about getting into the next round of the cup.

“They've done that and I thought there was some really good stuff especially in the first half.
