Mum comes unstuck in mud

A MOTHER has told of her terror after she got stuck waist-deep in mud at a harbour while on holiday.

Kadassi Nembhard, 33, was on the final day of her break when her young daughter began to sink at the water's edge and she raced to her aid. Once the girl was free, Kadassi got trapped and quickly started to sink, too. Two passers-by attempted to free her but kept getting stuck themselves at Whitby Harbour, North Yorks.

Kadassi was trapped for 30 minutes before emergency crews freed her. The mum, of Darwen, Lancs, said: "Panic was setting in because I realised that I was stuck.
