Brugge boss backs his rival

NICKY HAYEN has backed Russell Martin to turn his ragged Rangers around - but only after his Club Brugge side kill off their Champions League dreams.

The Belgians heaped fresh pressure on beleaguered Light Blues boss Martin last week, showing little mercy as they clinically exploited Gers comic-book defending in a 3-1 win at Ibrox.

But Hayen remains a huge fan of the former Swansea gaffer and his commitment to his possession-based gameplan.

The Brugge boss knows Martin well having worked nearby during his own stint in Wales managing Haverfordwest County - and he hopes to see him make a success of it in Scotland, but only after his Brugge team finish off the job tonight.
