SHEEHAN BACKS SWAGGER

- From Adam Hathaway

Lions loud and proud

LIONS hooker Dan Sheehan has doubled down on the squad's boasts - but warned they have to back them up on the pitch.

Back-rower Henry Pollock claimed a 3-0 series whitewash of Australia is on the table, while flanker Ben Earl said last week they wanted to be known as one of the best ever Lions teams.

Such outspoken bravado has drawn a withering response from former Wallabies World Cup winner Chris Latham, who branded Andy Farrell's men “cocky”.

And Latham predicted the hosts will be even more fired up than usual come kickoff for Saturday's first Test in Brisbane.

However, Sheehan remains unapologetic about the swagger coming from the tourists' camp as he feels they have the quality to deliver the bragging rights.
