LEIGH are set to take to the field for their Super League play-off semi-final against Wigan despite their owner's astonishing threat to pull out of the fixture owing to ticketing issues.

- BY MATTHEW SHAW

The Warriors released a statement revealing that Leopards owner Derek Beaumont had informed them his club would not fulfil the fixture, putting one of the biggest games of the season under threat.

Beaumont's frustrations are thought to be built around a belief that the Warriors could have offered his club more tickets for the fixture, with the Leopards further frustrated when supporters who purchased tickets in the home end were told they could not be validated.
