Legendary Lisbon Lion John Fallon is laid to rest

STARS of Celtic and Scottish football in general were united in grief to say farewell at the funeral of goalkeeping great John Fallon.

The Lisbon Lion passed away, aged 84, last month and his funeral took place at St Joseph’s Church in Blantyre, Lanarkshire.

Fallon’s death means Jim Craig, Bobby Lennox and Willie Wallace are the only players from the Lisbon Lions squad still living.
