Israel backs 60-day Gaza ceasefire, Trump claims

ISRAEL has agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, US president Donald Trump said yesterday, and warned Hamas to accept the deal because it will "only get worse".
Mr Trump announced the move as he prepares to meet Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu for talks at the White House on Monday.
He has increased pressure on the Israelis and Hamas to accept a cease-fire and hostage agreement to bring an end to the war in Gaza.
