He's done more for Scots than the SNP!

US President is welcomed by locals who hail his interests in this country... but string of protests brings chaos and disruption

PEOPLE living close to Donald Trump's two luxury hotels say he has done more for Scotland than the SNP ever has.
The president of the United States touched down at Prestwick Airport last night ahead of a controversial “private” visit and immediately warned mass immigration would destroy Europe and slammed the SNP’s obsession with windfarms.
Mr Trump touched down on board Air Force One at about 8.30, telling an impromptu media conference: “It’s great to be in Scotland.”
Mr Trump — who made recent trips here in 2018, 2019, on his first state visit, and 2023 - is expected to spend the weekend at the Trump Turnberry golf resort in Ayrshire.

Later, he will travel to Trump International at Menie in Aberdeenshire to official open a second course. It is to be named after his late mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, who was born on the Isle of Lewis.
During his time in Scotland, the president will meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and First Minister John Swinney.
The president said he was going to have dinner at Turnberry with the PM and “then we're going to go to the oil capital of Europe, which is Aberdeen”.
Mr Trump also indicated he and Sir Keir could “approve” the US-UK trade deal when they meet.
He explained: “We’re going to be talking about the trade deal that we made and maybe even approve it.”
