Headache for motorists with M8 roadworks

DRIVERS using the country’s busiest motorway are being warned to get ready for nine months of disruption as major roadworks start today.

Repairs on the M8 will continue until spring as work costing £10million will be carried out on both carriageways centred around Junction 26 at Hillington.

It will focus on four bridges at the interchange, which, since construction in 1968, have suffered severe wear and tear. A full resurfacing project will also take place.
