PREMIER SHUNS ARMOUR-PLATED GOLF BUGGY AT TURNBERRY

AS Donald Trump took to the first tee at his Turnberry course yesterday morning, he was accompanied by family and friends - and obviously a golf buggy.

But this vehicle was certainly no ordinary cart.

It is an armour-plated buggy compete with bulletproof windows and an array of ultrahigh spec gadgets.

Yet, despite its presence, Mr Trump selected to use a standard-type of buggy for his trip round the famous course in the drizzly Scottish weather yesterday.

One security expert said: "From those photos, that is 100 per cent armoured.

"The windscreen is a giveaway, as are the side panels, doors and the large panel at the rear above the load tray.'

He went on to identify the model as a Polaris Ranger XP and revealed Mr Trump's cart would be designed to offer passengers it carried as much protection as possible for the premier.

The vehicle normally retails for around £20,000.
