Froome airlifted to hospital after crash

TOUR DE FRANCE legend Chris Froome has broken his back in another serious crash which could end his illustrious career.
Britain’s fourtime Yellow Jersey winner was airlifted to hospital after sustaining multiple injuries, including a collapsed lung and five fractured ribs, in a training ride near the 40-year-old’s home in Monaco.
Froome was taken to hospital 100 miles away in Toulon by helicopter for surgery.
