FIXTURE PILE-UP WOES

FIXTURES are piling up for Dundee United and Aberdeen after last night's clash at Tannadice fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.

Both teams have been forced to postpone their last three games in the league and Scottish Cup.

Tannadice was also deemed unplayable for the Premiership clash with St Mirren and the cup tie with Spartans.

The heavy rain that has battered the northeast also forced the Dons’ home games with Celtic and Motherwell to be called off.

A United statement read: “We apologise to both sets of fans for any inconvenience caused. Details for the rearranged fixture will be communicated in due course.”
