Fears for UK couple hauled into Iran court

THE family of a British couple detained in Iran have appealed for an urgent meeting with the Foreign Secretary after the pair were “suddenly whisked” to a courtroom in Tehran.
Lindsay and Craig Foreman appeared with a “state-appointed lawyer they only just met”, said their son Joe Bennett. “We cannot see how (this) could be considered to be a fair trial,” he added.
The Foremans, both 52 and from East Sussex, were taken into custody in January during a motorcycle tour around the world. They were charged with espionage, which they deny.
