Owen to stake claim after shock call-up from father
ANDY FARRELL has called up son Owen in a sensational British and Irish Lions development Down Under and insisted he is now in contention for a Test spot.
Farrell jnr, 33, will arrive in Australia today after answering an SOS call. It follows the news that Eliot Daly’s tour is over after he broke his arm against Queensland Reds on Wednesday. Former England captain Farrell has not played since May after concussion finished his disastrous season with Racing 92 in Paris. He could play against ACT Brumbies next Wednesday and is set to put his hat in the Test ring, with the first Wallaby clash just a fortnight away.
