Farage asks president to stop Chagos Islands deal

NIGEL Farage urged Donald Trump to block Sir Keir Starmer’s Chagos Islands deal in a meeting at the US president’s Mara-Lago estate last night.

The Reform UK chief flew to Florida believing the battle to stop the handover of the strategic archipelago to Mauritius “feels more than winnable”.

Speaking before he went, Mr Farage said: “President Trump has almost understood the deal but I will be dining at Mara-Lago and we will reinforce the message.”
