Fan-tastic night for Tartan Army
November 19, 2025
|Scottish Daily Express
THE Tartan Army's dreams of heading to the World Cup Finals for the first time in almost 30 years finally came true last night.
After last night's match against Denmark at Hampden Park, Steve Clarke's men triumphed with a thrilling 4-2 win.
And despite the bitter cold and driving rain nothing could dampen the spirits of the foot-soldiers ahead of the clash.
From early morning, the pubs in and around Glasgow city centre were packed with Scotland fans soaking in the atmosphere.
Whether it was The Counting House in George Square, Rab Has in the Merchant City or the Toby Jug opposite Central Station, World Cup fever was evidently in the air.
It may have been 1998 since Scotland last appeared on football's grandest stage but being so close this time made those memories seem like yesterday.
The fabulous atmosphere was only made better by the presence of thousands of Danish fans who had crossed the North Sea for the game.
