THE family of a student who killed herself using poison bought online is pleading with police to investigate her tragic death.

- BY JEREMY ARMSTRONG

Leeds University drama student 22-year-old Grace Nevens is believed to have taken the deadly substance after visiting an online “suicide forum”.

At a pre-inquest review yesterday her parents Sharon and Neil, alongside sister Lucy, listened intently as their barrister Alison Seaman urged detectives to look into Grace’s death more closely.

Ms Seaman said: “It is difficult for the family to understand as there is evidence of a transaction whereby Grace obtained [the substance].

“It is likely there is evidence that the person selling it to her knew what she was planning to do.”

Northumbria Police and the National Crime Agency have said that Grace’s death is currently not part of any criminal investigation.
