Ex-para's 36,000 miles and 27 years on the road to Hull

A FORMER paratrooper has trekked over 30,000 miles across four continents in a 27-year walk and swim from Chile to Hull.
Karl Bushby, 56, set off on November 1, 1998, aiming to travel from the southern tip of South America to his East Yorkshire home without using transport. He said: "During my time in the Army I came up with the idea and bounced it around with the guys. I was convinced we could pull it off."
