Dons won't put out the welcome Mats for Hoops

MATS KNOESTER knows 90% of people expect treble-chasing Celtic to lift the Scottish Cup and reckons there would be no better feeling if Aberdeen could upset the odds.

- Scott Burns

Brendan Rodgers’ side are chasing down a domestic clean sweep against a Dons side they have beaten in their past four meetings.

It hasn’t helped that a fringe Hoops team tore Aberdeen apart 5-1 at Pittodrie nine days ago, in a disappointing run where Jimmy ‘Thelin’s side lost their last four games and finished fifth in the league.

Knoester accepted: “Yes, we're not the favourites. But I think we as a team and also people supporting the club should not forget what we have done right.

“We had been playing until the very end in the league for fourth place and even third place the week before.

“We're in the cup final now, so there’s also a lot of positive stuff.

“But I understand where it comes from. People that we played in the league a few weeks ago, we lost with a score like that, now they go to Hampden for the final. What are the chances?
