Campaigner's fury at 'made-up' tribunal quote

A FEMINIST campaigner has demanded to know how a "made up" quote appeared in the Sandie Peggie tribunal decision.

Employment judge Sandy Kemp, right, quoted from the judgment in Maya Forstater's landmark case which ruled that gender-critical opinions are legally protected.

He wrote that the "Employment Appeal Tribunal had emphasised that: 'It is important to bear in mind that the [Equality Act 2010] does not create a hierarchy of protected characteristics'."

But Ms Forstater, chief exec of Sex Matters, the charity backing Ms Peggie, said on social media: "This 'quote' from my judgment doesn't come from my judgment. It is completely made up."
