BA pilot 'left cockpit door open so family could see him'
August 16, 2025
|Scottish Daily Express
A BRITISH Airways pilot is back on the job after being suspended for allegedly leaving the cockpit door open during a transatlantic flight so his travelling family could see him operating the controls.
The incident happened on a trip from Heathrow to New York JFK last week, according to The Sun.
It reported his actions “alarmed” some passengers, and crew alerted the airline about the incident.
The pilot was suspended, meaning the return flight scheduled to arrive at Heathrow on August 8 was cancelled.
