At 38, Andy aims to be smash hit on fairways
October 02, 2025
|Scottish Daily Express
SIR Andy Murray will swap his tennis racket for golf clubs today as he makes his debut in a wet and windy Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

The Scottish tennis legend has been paired with two-time DP World Tour winner Eddie Pepperell for the event, which gets under way at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and St Andrews this morning. They will play their opening round at Carnoustie in the company of defending champion Tyrrell Hatton, who is joining forces with his dad Jeff.
The weather is set to provide a challenge to pros and amateurs alike, with gusts of up to 80mph expected during Storm Amy. Two years ago, heavy rain and strong winds battered the championship with the third day's play having to be abandoned.
