ALEX KINGSTON last night became the eighth celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing but the ER actress said she had a ball.

Alex and pro Johannes Radebe said goodbye to the BBC show after a tough dance-off against EastEnder Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon.

Emotional Alex told presenter Tess Daly: "I had never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would last this long. It's been just the most incredible journey for me."

She added: "Everyone always says their dance partner is a friend for life, but JoJo really will be."

Alex, 62, and Johannes did the cha-cha to Anita Ward’s Ring My Bell, before Balvinder, 46, and Julian jived to Right Back Where We Started From by Maxine Nightingale to survive their fifth dance-off.
