Philadelphia Youth Choirs headed to Africa

I had the pleasure of speaking to members of Philadelphia Youth Choral Ensembles, home of the Philadelphia Girls Choir (Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale) and Commonwealth Youth Choir, who are heading to Africa this year.
Last Sunday, the teens appeared on my segment of the New World View with David Barnes and Yanina Carter, which airs from 12 to 2 pm, the third Sunday of the month, and every Sunday with Scoop's Philly Beat!
Three Choirs to Tour African Continent Historic goodwill tours to Morocco, Ghana, and South Africa planned for the Philadelphia Youth Choral Ensembles have been announced for summer 2025. The Philadelphia Girls Choir will tour Morocco from June 21 to July 2; the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale will travel to Ghana from July 7 to 17; and finally, the Commonwealth Youth Choir will visit South Africa from July 18 to August 1.
The Philadelphia Youth Choral Ensembles, a 57-year-old youth music education and performance organization, is comprised of the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale, the Philadelphia Girls Choir, and the Commonwealth Youth Choir (recently formed by joining the Keystone State Boy Choir and Pennsylvania Girl Choir to create an all-gender ensemble).
