Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, The School District of Philadelphia, and the City of Philadelphia host Dare to Dream Career Week

The School District of Philadelphia, in partnership with Pennsylvania Attorney General David W. Sunday Jr.’s Office of Public Engagement and the City of Philadelphia, hosted the sixth annual “Dare to Dream at Career Week ” from May 12-16, 2025. The week was an opportunity for high school students to have first-hand interactions with leading companies in the Philadelphia area.

This year, over 700 students from West Philadelphia High School, South Philadelphia High School, Murrell Dobbins Career and Technical Education High School, George Washington High School, Frankford High School, A. Philip Randolph Technical High School, Lankenau Environmental Science Magnet High School, Franklin Learning Center, Abraham Lincoln High School, High School For Creative and Performing Arts, Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush High School, Kensington High School, Olney High School, Northeast High School, The Workshop School, Jules E. Mastbaum High School, Horace Furness High School, and Building 21 participated in Career Week.

Each day, groups of students visited worksites, shadowed professionals, participated in activities, and viewed panels in their chosen career fields to build a diverse understanding of what career opportunities are available to them after graduation.
