Memorial Park Pool Opens for Summer
ScoopUSA Media, Volume 65 - Number 28
|Scoop USA Newspaper
It was a perfect summer day for the opening of Chester's only public swimming pool, located in Memorial Park, amid the football field and just across from Crozer Library.
-
The pool opening just happened to coincide with the Juneteenth Festival taking place in the park on Saturday, June 21, 2025, which added to the fun and excitement of the occasion. The pool was free on opening day, but going forward--there will be a fee to use the pool.
There appears to be a bit of a misunderstanding, as many residents were under the impression that the pool would be free of charge for the entirety of the summer. This discrepancy caused some confusion and complaints on Saturday, and many voiced their opposition on social media.
