SEBASTIEN Desabre, head coach of the World Cup debutants from the Ebola-hit Democratic Republic of Congo, stated he hoped his resilient squad would put up a “good showing” after they were finally granted entry to the United States on Thursday.

Desabre expressed a profound hope that the team’s historic tournament appearance could bring some much-needed joy to their beleaguered compatriots back home.
The Leopards squad arrived safely on a flight from Paris after United States immigration authorities strictly insisted that the entire travelling party serve a mandatory 21-day quarantine period before setting foot on US soil.
