Having fun Youngsters from across Rutherglen and Cambuslang have enjoyed taking part in Beat the Street

To encourage players to make one final push, every Beat Box in the game will be giving out double points during the final 'Go Celebrate' week of the active travel competition.

The game resets with a new theme every Wednesday and will come to an end at 7pm on Wednesday, October 29, when the leaderboard will then be taken down and the winners announced shortly after the competition.

More than 9220 people have signed up and have together walked, cycled, wheeled, run and scooted an incredible 72,000 miles so far in the competition.

Currently, Newton Farm Primary School leads the total points leaderboard with Calderwood Primary School and West Coats Primary School in second and third place.
