|Runcorn Weekly News
THE search is on for a new boss at Halton Borough Council, with a wage that could top more than £186k a year.
Halton Council has advertised for a new chief executive.
The role of chief executive has been vacant since Stephen Young quit to take up the same job with Salford City Council.
He had held the post for just over three years, having previously been Executive Director of Growth, Environment, Transportation and Community Services at Lancashire County Council.
Since his departure the post of chief executive - a nonpolitical role responsible for overall management and strategic leadership of all council staff and services - has been filled on an interim basis by Richard Rout.
