A WEEKLY community event has drawn praise from a candidate in the forthcoming Runcorn and Helsby by-election.

Sean Houlston, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Runcorn and Helsby, has praised the community spirit and kindness at the heart of St Paul’s Church's weekly Wednesday Welcome after joining for lunch with local residents.
The Wednesday Welcome offers a free, hot three-course lunch every Wednesday from noon to 2pm at St Paul’s Church in Helsby.
