Council tax 'could rise by £300' by 2030

COUNCIL tax in Rossendale could rise more than £300 a year by 2030 if current trends continue.
Households in England are currently paying an average of £1,770 a year in council tax, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. That's up by £102 compared to the 2024/25 financial year, which was itself up by £90 compared to the previous year.
Council tax in Rossendale could cost a total of £1,928, meaning the cost has increased by £342 if current trends continue.
In fact, council tax bills have been rising steadily every year since 2016.
