Off-road motorbikes driven around cemetery across graves
Damage caused to the upper graveyard at Lumb Baptist Church
GRIEVING families have been left horrified after a yobs on off-road motorbikes tore through a peaceful church graveyard churning up earth and damaging graves.
Church leaders at Lumb Baptist Church in Rossendale say the upper burial ground has been targeted at least once, with the destruction continuing and upsetting visitors paying their respects to loved ones.
The rider - or riders - are believed to have gained access via the church path from the car park before racing around the cemetery, leaving tracks across the grounds and over burial plots.
