Pre-season off to flying start

DALE began preseason with a comfortable 3-0 victory over FC United of Manchester on Saturday.

Aidan Barlow and Emmanuel Dieseruvwe put Jimmy McNulty's men 2-0 up at the break, before Joe Pritchard's second-half strike rounded off the scoring.
McNulty opted to field an almost entirely different eleven for each half, with only Trialist A starting both periods.
The head coach had confirmed pre-match that Liam Humbles, Anthony Mancini and David Tutonda were missing due to injuries.
Harvey Gilmour, Devante Rodney, Jake Burger and Connor McBride were also absent from the pitch but were in attendance at Broadhurst Park.
Dale controlled the first half against an opponent for the club, playing their third friendly of the summer.
