Organist in town hall concert

ORTOA Celebrity Recitals at Rochdale Town Hall Organ, Keith Hearnshaw concert organist

are back at the newly renovated town hall presenting top performers at the JJ Binns organ.

The new time for this set of four recitals is Tuesday at 1pm.

Prize winning Keith Hearnshaw was born in West Bromwich and began learning the organ at the age of 13. He gained associate-ship diplomas of both the Royal College of Music and the Royal College of Organists whilst studying at the Birmingham Conservatoire where he also held the position of organ scholar at St Chad's R.C. Cathedral.

He was later assistant organist at St Columba's Parish Church, Sutton Coldfield, and toured Germany with both choirs. From September 1994-95 he was organ scholar at Lincoln Cathedral.
