‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’: On Day 279, Punjab Police Nabs 79 Drug Smugglers With 1.2kg Heroin

Continuing the war against drugs "Yudh Nashian Virudh" waged by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to eradicate drug menace from state consecutively for the 279th day, Punjab Police conducted raids at 284 locations on Friday leading to the arrest of 79 drug smugglers after registration of 69 first information reports (FIRs) across the state.

With this, the number of total drug smugglers arrested has reached to 39,254 in 279 days.

The raids have resulted in recovery of 1.2 kg heroin, 2 kg ganja, 519 intoxicant pills and Rs 18,300 drug money from the possession of arrested drug smugglers.
