Asserting that farmers have never faced any problem in selling their grain during the last three years, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday said that like previous years, the state government will repeat the history of smooth, hassle free and timely procurement of the paddy in the state.
Reviewing the ongoing paddy procurement in the state during a meeting held here today, the Chief Minister said that all out efforts have been made to ensure smooth, hassle free and quick procurement of paddy on one hand and facilitate the farmers in getting timely payment of their produce on the other. He categorically said that farmers of the state should not face any inconvenience for the sale of their produce in the mandis. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the procurement of paddy has started from September 15 and elaborate arrangements have already been made for the procurement of 175 LMT of
