Punjab Chief Secretary Mr. KAP Sinha on Thursday exhorted the people of the state to plant maximum number of saplings as a befitting and humble tribute to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji on his 350th martyrdom day.

The Chief Secretary, who planted a sapling at Panj Pyara Park in the holy city, said that it was all the more important for sustainable development of the state and preserving the environment for our coming generations. He said that the depleting green cover and worsening AQI was a cause of concern for everybody as it poses a serious hazard to the environment
