CHILDREN are being denied the full flight of life - this is one of the most abominable and incomprehensible acts of human cruelties to ever plague this universe.
Starvation exacerbated by creeping malnutrition, and children becoming remnants of war by ruthless maiming and death are just too much for an ageing society.
And so Gaza comes under the spotlight where 37 000 children have lost one parent, and 17 000 have lost both. So there will be a demand for orphanages, too.
The numbers exceed the scale of World War II. Entire family trees have been erased.
An Al Jazeera report on August 28 stated that about 162 000 Palestinian children under 5 years, risked dying of acute malnutrition.
