Rocklands library hosts reading competition

Rocklands library hosted its first reading competition following the Covid-19 pandemic on Tuesday April 15, ahead of its World Book Day celebrations that ran from April 22 to 24.
World Book and Copyright Day is celebrated annually on April 23 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) in recognition of the power of books to connect cultures and generations.
Rocklands library invited 18 Grade 7 pupils from Caradale, Caravelle, Eis-leben Road, Rocklands, Seaview and Spineview primary schools who were tested in reading, comprehension and spelling in three categories, namely English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa.
