Work to tidy up a riverside path in Renfrew - which has been described as an "overgrown jungle" - is expected to take place in the near future.

- JACK THOMSON, LOCAL DEMOCRACY REPORTER

Councillor John Shaw, an SNP representative for Renfrew North and Braehead, has provided an update on the situation after liaising with the different stakeholders.

In a post on social media, he said: "After nearly two months of trying, I was finally able to get confirmation late last week that work will be taking place shortly to tackle the overgrown jungle that is currently the Clyde/Cart walkway.
