Robbo says Saints are set to bag a new striker... with another deal in the wings

Stephen Robinson yesterday said St Mirren are closing in on a new striker - with another potential recruit waiting in the wings.

The Buddies are in the market for reinforcements from middle to front after long-term injuries to Keanu Baccus (hamstring), Jonah Ayunga (hamstring) and skipper Mark O'Hara (ankle).

On Wednesday, the Paisley side announced the signing of ex-Motherwell, Luton Town and Dundee United midfielder Allan Campbell, who was a free agent, on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Now, Robbo says a forward is close to becoming the second winter transfer window arrival while a third move is “bubbling away” in the background.
