The annual Glen Cinema Disaster memorial is more important than ever as the number of survivors continues to fall, the event's organiser has said.
Tony Lawler - who helped resurrect the annual act of remembrance as part of Paisley Community Trust - said this year's event was especially poignant given the recent death of Emily Brown.
Emily survived Paisley’s Black Hogmanay as a five-year-old and laid a wreath in Dunn Square on behalf of survivors for 16 years.
A heartbreaking 71 children lost their lives in the Glen Cinema Disaster on December 31, 1929.
The youngsters were crushed when smoke in the auditorium caused panic and a rush towards the door which was locked.
The children had believed the smoke had been caused by a fire but it was instead smoke billowing from a faulty film canister.
