Paisley MP delighted with new appointment

Alison Taylor MP says she welcomes the challenge of her new role as the Scotland Office Ministers Parliamentary Private Secretary.
The post will see Ms Taylor act as a channel between the Scotland Office Ministers and Labour backbenchers, helping to gauge the opinion of MPs on policy, and share with backbenchers forthcoming policy initiatives.
It is seen an integral function of the Scotland Office and the work of Secretary of State Douglas Alexander and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Kirsty McNeil.
Speaking days after her appointment Ms Taylor told the Express: "I am delighted to have been appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Scotland Office.
