Nursery celebrated for 'exceptional work'

A village nursery in Renfrewshire has been celebrated for its “warm environment” after an impressive performance during a recent inspection.

Inspectors from Education Scotland visited Kilbarchan Community Nursery in March and rated the facility ‘good’ for both learning, teaching and assessment and securing children’s progress.

A range of strengths were highlighted by the watchdog, including how “nurturing, respectful relationships permeate the nursery” and create a gentle environment, allowing children and families to settle quickly and feel valued, and the quality of teamwork among the staff.
