International flair as India and Pakistan deliver thriller

Ferguslie Cricket Club travelled to Pollokshields to face undefeated Western Premiership One leaders Clydesdale and once again put ina below average batting performance.

This underpinned another defeat, with only Taimoor Ahmad playing a captain's innings of 63, while Gregor Preston-Jones and professional Mo Mayet were the only other players to reach double figures.

A somewhat dire 145 all out was produced against a Clydesdale bowling attack which pretty much had matters well in hand throughout Saturday's contest. This made the hosts’ clearing-up operation in reply pretty much a straightforward one — amassing 149/2 to clinch victory by a thumping eight wickets.

Ferguslie got offto the worst possible start as David Stafford was clean bowled by Isaac Rahman with the very first ball ofthe match.

And the Clydesdale bowler continued to trouble Ferguslie’s batters during his eightovers, finishing with figures of four wickets for 20 runs.
