Bed-bound MS patient gains independence again thanks to charity's life-changing specialised chair
A Renfrewshire woman who had been bed-bound with multiple sclerosis (MS) for over two years is finally mobile again thanks to a local charity project in what organisers described as a "joy to behold".
Amanda Jones had been confined to her bed for more than two years, reports our sister title Glasgow Live, due to the advanced autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.
But the 50-year-old has finally received a specialised recliner chair on wheels that has allowed her to regain some independence, after charity ERGoodCauses (ERGC) found a way to raise the £4,100 needed for the equipment.
